The sequence of steps a request or transaction passes through from start to finish: who does what, in which order, and who approves.
Every repeated job in a company has a workflow, whether written down or kept in employees' heads. Take a leave request: the employee submits it, the direct manager approves, HR records it, then the balance is deducted. Each step has a responsible person and a clear status such as awaiting approval, approved or rejected. A good system knows these statuses, moves the request between them and alerts whoever is next.
When a workflow lives on paper and WhatsApp, requests get lost between steps, and nobody knows where a transaction stopped or who delayed it. Turning it into a system gives every request one place, a visible status and a record of who did what and when. In Fanann you describe the sequence in your own words, or start from the requests file with Excel to App, and get a system with forms and roles for owner, manager and staff. Practical tip: draw the current flow as it really happens, not as it is supposed to, then remove at least one step before digitizing it. Digitizing a complicated process produces digital complication.
